THE PRACTICAL GUIDE

A platform-first shortlistThe Obsidian Games Review journal

The most interesting game is the one you can actually make time and space to play.

Begin with the device

Use the platform filter to narrow the catalogue to the device you intend to use. PC, web, mobile and console labels describe the supplied catalogue entry; they are not a complete list of technical requirements.

Allow for the setup

Installation space, updates, accounts and controllers can affect the first session. The developer's official page is the best place to check these before committing an evening to setup.

Compare like with like

Select up to three games and compare their genres, platforms, descriptions and editorial scores side by side. A shared platform makes the choice practical; the summaries make it personal.

Leave room to change your mind

You can save a game without deciding to play it immediately. Return to your selection later, remove the titles that no longer interest you and keep the list useful.
